Tauna served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas county Florida from 2001-2006. As a prosecutor, she handled every aspect of Misdemeanor and Felony cases from the initial investigation and interviewing of witnesses to the verdict of a jury at trial. Tauna was a member of the DUI Manslaughter/Traffic Homicide Team, a Child Abuse prosecutor, and a Lead Trial Attorney for a Misdemeanor division. Tauna also prosecuted local ordinance violations, presented cases for indictment to the Grand Jury and tried both jury and non-jury trials. Tauna has tried over 50 jury trials to verdict. She has experience in numerous types of cases, including: Aggravated Assault, Attempted Murder, Burglary, Battery, Child Sexual Battery, Domestic Battery, Drug Possession, Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Firearms charges, Kidnapping, Lewd & Lascivious Molestation, Prostitution, Resisting Arrest, Sexual Battery, Trafficking, Theft, Unlicensed Contracting, and Unlawful Distribution.
